引導(dǎo)主語從句

　　where用于引導(dǎo)主語從句時(shí)，通常可直接位于句首。

　　1、Where we stay doesn't matter. 我們住在哪兒沒有什么關(guān)系。

　　2、Where I spend my summer is no business of yours. 我在哪里過暑假不關(guān)你的事。

　　3、Where he has surpassed every other English writer is in his ballads and songs. 他勝過英國其他作家之處在于他的民歌與歌謠。

　　有時(shí)也可在句首使用形式主語it，而將由where引導(dǎo)的主語從句置于句末。如：

　　1、It's not known where she went. 她到哪里去了沒人知道。

　　2、It doesn't matter where we go on holiday. 在假日里我們到哪兒去都行。

　　3、It's a nightmare worrying where the children might be. 擔(dān)心孩子們?cè)谀睦锖?jiǎn)直是一場(chǎng)噩夢(mèng)。

　　引導(dǎo)表語從句

　　用于引導(dǎo)表語從句，主要用作連系動(dòng)詞be的表語，此時(shí)句子主語通常是this或that。

　　1、That's where he lives. 那就是他所住的地方。

　　2、That's where you are wrong. 這就是你不對(duì)的地方。

　　3、This is where our basic interest lies. 這是我們的根本利益所在。

　　4、That's where I first met her. 那就是我第一次遇見她的地方。

　　5、This is where they bottle the milk. 這就是他們用瓶子裝牛奶的地方。

　　6、This is where I part company with the professor. 這是我和教授的意見相左之處。

　　7、This is where the waters of Amazon flow out into the sea. 這就是亞馬孫河入海的地方。

　　8、This is where we change from car to bus. 這就是我們從小汽車換乘公共汽車的地方。
