　　When I was a child, my homesick was a small stamp

　　Linking Mum at the other end and me this.

　　When I grew up, I remained homesick, but it became a ticket.

　　By which I sailed to and from my bride at the other end.

　　我在這頭，新娘在那頭。

　　Then homesickness took the shape of the grave,

　　Mum inside of it and me outside.

　　我在外頭，母親在里頭。

　　Now I’m still homesick, but it is a narrow strait

　　Separating me on this side and the mainland on the other.

　　When I was a child, Nostalgia seemed a small stamp:

　　"Here am I and there ……my mother."

　　Then I was a grown-up, Nostalgia became a traveling ticket:

　　"Here am I and there……my bride."

　　During the later years, Nostalgia turned to be a graveyard:

　　"Here am I and yonder……my mother."

　　And now at present, Nostalgia looms large to be a channel:

　　"Here am I and yonder……my Continent!"

　　賞析

　　1、作者把無形的鄉(xiāng)愁比喻化為四種事物,可見作者愁思之重.小時(shí)候，作者將鄉(xiāng)愁寄托在給家人的書信里'所以將鄉(xiāng)愁比喻為郵票;長大后，作者和家人分居兩地，很難與家人相見，于是將鄉(xiāng)愁寄托在回家的船上，所以把鄉(xiāng)愁比喻為船票;后來，母親去世，作者與母親再也不能見面，于是作者就將鄉(xiāng)愁比喻為墳?zāi)?現(xiàn)在，由于人為的原因，海峽兩岸的同胞不能團(tuán)聚，作者將自己的鄉(xiāng)愁比喻為臺(tái)灣海峽，表達(dá)了他期盼祖國統(tǒng)一的強(qiáng)烈愿望。
